Drop the make-up, the inane guitar solos, the over-the-top drumming, the histrionic lyrics, the wandering arrangement, and the flute break and you have something palatable. Then again that's what made it prog-rock, I guess, and what makes it interesting to listen to and watch from an historic point of view.


Hah. I can't argue with a single one of Mark's points above. I love it anyway, for some reason.


I'm hopping down to PA in July to hear Ian Anderson play the music of Jethro Tull with the Philadelphia Philharmonic at the Mann Center. I think I'm a geek, too.
